Pushing through hesitation

"Audacity augments courage; hesitation, fear."

Have you ever hesitated before commiting to something that took some guts to follow through on? It could be something big like marriage, or something with less risk like asking someone out on a date. Either way, hesitation is a natural reaction to making any decision that involves some risk of things not working out the way we planned. While hesitation may prevent us from making a poor decision, it can also prevent us from moving in the right direction for the wrong reasons.

I admit that I can be indecisive when exploring potential business opportunities or meeting new people. I think I focus too much on the right approach and not enough on when I'm actually going to do it. Sometimes I get to it and do it. Sometimes, my intentions get in the way of getting things done. It does not seem so much of a priority issue as it is a deer in the headlights issue. Instead of opting to walk from the shallow end, I'll stand there at the deep end wondering if I'm ready to dive in. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't.

My issue is I have been spending too much time debating and hesitating by the deep end without jumping in. I am committing to a new approach by taking baby steps from the shallow end. For me, it's making minor commitments to grow the audience for Subatomic Zen. I have all the tools I need to succeed. My hesitation was in choosing the right route, when I realize there is no right route. What truly matters is that I take a route, or a couple, otherwise I am simply spinning my wheels and getting nowhere.

Hesitation has been preventing me from making commitments or planting seeds of desire to provide for a brighter future. It was keeping me complacent through the allure of uncomfortable satisfaction. My next commitment is baby steps of making more contacts and collaborating with other content creators to help spread more wellnness. I know I'll need some accountability on my follow through, and I don't hesitate to admit that. It helps give me the nudge I sometimes require to get to it and do it. Do you have any situations in your life where your hesitation is preventing you from making any progress? What are some ways to address it?
