Improving our health

"Health is a priceless wealth. Invest while you can"

- Bryant McGill

Whether it is physical, mental, Spiritual or emotional, our health is so important to helping maintain an elevated sense of wellbeing. We are able to live a much more satisfying and enjoyable life when we are taking care of our overall health and not ignoring some of our blind spots. We may be feeling great physically, but if our emotional or mental health is taking a toll on us, it's going to negatively affect our overall health. Also, if we start feeling bad physically, it could be a sign we are not properly addressing our mental and emotional health.

Managing and improving our overall health isn't always easy to do when we consider all of the factors involved. We are required to exercise, eat the right foods and get regular check-ups to ensure optimal physical health. We have to continuously monitor our relationships, triggers and work-life balance to maintain our mental and emotional health. We should be at peace with ourselves and our surroundings if we are maintaining our Spiritual health. By addressing all the health areas in our life, we guarantee ourselves a better quality of life.

What it all really boils down to is self-care. In order to really enjoy life we have to make sure we are taking care of ourselves, especially as we get older. We may think of the importance of physical exercise to increase our longevity, but we also benefit by mental fitness like puzzles and trivia as a way to sharpen our mental acuity. Some of the most physically and mentally fit people in the world do not allow their age to determine their limits when it comes to their overall health. They understand the benefits of taking good care of themselves.

We always have the option to take better care of ourselves when it comes to our mental, physical, emotional and Spiritual health. We know the benefits. We have felt the benefits. It comes down to establishing and maintaining better habits and routines that we know help improve our wellbeing. There are no magic pills. We do not have to unlock any secrets of the Universe. All we have to do is address our health. Every aspect of it. When we do, our body, mind and Spirit take care of us since we take care of them.

More Wellness!
